Every year, thousands of animals are euthanized in shelters across the United States.  Many communities cannot afford to run no-kill shelters, and many communities cannot afford to run shelters that adopt to the public.  Step in rescues.  Rescues pull animals that would normally have no chance - rescues pull the sick, the abandoned and the homeless.

Rescue is simultaneously rewarding and heartbreaking.  Sometimes, a foster comes to you who is sick, and you are only able to spend a small amount of time with them.  Sometimes, a foster comes along and you fall in love and they never leave your home.

In rescue, you see the best and the worst that humanity has to offer.   In rescue, you learn to not judge, you learn that action is critical, and you learn that you are stronger than you think.
